BUTTERNUT
KWA-ZULU NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA - 2012

OBSERVATIONS:

At time of inspection the crop showed signs of significant stress due to nematodes infestation. The farmer states that in his opinion the crop is likely to be almost completely lost.

Evidence of Nematodes

The following protocol was recommended per hectare:

    • 4.5 lbs Micronomix Defense

    • 4.5 lbs Micronomix Algae

    • 110 lbs Molasses

APPLICATION:

60% of the above solution was applied via manual spray on June 6th, 2012, with the remaining 40% applied via drip irrigation the following week. 5 days after the first application there was noticeable new root and shoot growth.

5 days later with only 60% of the solution applied, new root growth can be seen,

note that the Nematodes are no longer visible.

Deemed untreatable by the client, the plants show new shoot growth after 5 days.

8 WEEKS POST TREATMENT

OBSERVATIONS:

The post treatment results are incredible. The plants have responded very positively to the Micronomix Solution. Almost every plant has recovered fully, showing very healthy growth and butternut development. Vacant areas between plants are noticeably less. The client expressed disbelief in the results because he believed 8 weeks ago that he was going to lose his entire crop.
